Stepanka Balcarova (CZ) - trumpet, composition

Tomas Celis Sanchez (Mexico) - Congo, instr. percussion

Abbley Badij (Senegal) - bark, singing, djembe

Marian Mazur - (CZ) violin

Ondřej Pazdera (CZ) viola

Štěpánka Balcarováis a Czech trumpeter, composer and conductor. She graduated from the Jazz Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice, then studied composition and arrangement in Graz, Austria, under the supervision of the famous composer and band leader Ed Partyka. Štěpánka currently lives in Prague. He is a lecturer at the Conservatory of Jaroslav Ježek and at the jazz department of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is the leader of several bands: the jazz big band Concept Art Orchestra, a septet with Polish singer Małgorzata Hutek and the Czech-Polish quintet Inner Spaces. He also plays in the Trialog band led by Petr Kořínek. Since 2019, he has been running a music broadcast for the Czech radio Jazzový podvečer. Listeners can hear the program every fourth Sunday of the month from 6:00 p.m. at the Wełtawa station.

Tomas Celis Sanchezwas born in Mexico. He is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Ciudad de México, which he completed in the double bass class. He pursues his musical career as a percussion instrumentalist. He has been living in Krakow for almost 20 years. He is a recognized sideman, appreciated by musicians in Poland and abroad. He collaborated, among others with Ola Turkiewicz, Ewa Uryga, Krzysztof Ścierański, Anna Maria Jopek, Justyna Steczkowska, Ewa Bem, Karolina Glazer, Martyna Jakubowicz and with the bands Raz Dwa Trzy and Zakopower. He is invited to participate in the most important European jazz festivals, incl. at Ingolstadt Jazz Tage, International Jazz & Blues Festival, Kikinda in Serbia. He performed at the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary and at the Polish Institute in Leipzig. Tomas Celis Sanchez is a wizard of rustles and subtle sounds extracted from instruments, the existence of which we often do not know. Udu, djembe, rain stick, congo and dozens of original devices for the production of sounds: bells, shells, sticks and others are the magical world of Tomas' music.

Ablaye Badji- is a multi-instrumentalist from Senegal, a member of the famous griot family - Cissoko. Surrounded by the cultural wealth and music of his ancestors, Ablaye began his musical education by exploring the secrets of playing traditional instruments, of which he fell in love with the bark the most.

His style of playing on the bark is unique, and his virtuosity, talent and amazing voice add character to his music.

Ondřej PazderHe studied violin at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. Currently, he teaches at a primary music school in Jablonków and plays the viola in Kapela Lipka, well-known in Zaolzie.

Marian Mazurcomes from a small village in Zaolzie Milików. He lives in Český Těąín. He works as an actor in a puppet theater in Ostrava. For 17 years he has been playing in Kapela Lipka as the second violinist.
