ON SEPTEMBER 16TH PREMIERE CONCERTAS PART OF ETHNO JAZZ BESKIDY WILL PRESENT AN INTERNATIONAL TEAM CONSISTING OF:

Piotr Damasiewicz (PL) - trumpet, harmonium, voice

Rafał Bałaś (PL) - bagpipes, pipes

Magda Matusza (PL) - singing, violin

Mustapha El Boudani (Morocco / PL) - singing, guimbri

Paweł Szpura (PL) - drums

Piotr Damasiewicz- composer, trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, educator, traveler and curator of international music platforms. In addition to studying the trumpet, he also studied double bass, piano and classical singing, including Gregorian chant. He also studied choral and chamber conducting, arrangement and composition. In his work, he uses the language of jazz, 20th-century classical music, ethnic music, modern music, including European improvised music, and experiment. For over a decade, Damasiewicz has been in a constant musical and not only "way". It can be said that he is characterized by being "in constant motion".

He visits various places, spaces and cultures, there he creates by generating various sound connections.

Rafał Bałaś- musician, teacher, organizer with passion. From an early age, he learned to play folk instruments - pipes, pipes, pipes, horns. He is a double bass player in the “Skład Niearchaiczny” ensemble. As a piper, he is a member of the "DudySkrzypce" duo, playing the archaic music of Beskid Żywiecki. He is also involved in the construction of folk instruments, in particular the bagpipes of Żywiec. He coordinates the activities of the Golec Brothers Foundation and conducts classes in playing bass, bagpipes and pipes. Organizer of the Clean Beskids initiative. Mountain runner and ski mountaineer.

Marta Matuszna- a singer and violinist from Lalik. For many years he has been working at the Golec Brothers Foundation, teaching violin and traditional singing as Highlanders of Beskid Żywiecki. Her grandmother, who was her first and most important teacher, undoubtedly infected her with the love of highlander music. He is a co-creator of the "DudySkrzypce" duo, playing archaic music from Beskid Żywiecki, and the "Skład Niearchaiczny" ensemble. Co-organizer of the ecological initiative Czyste Beskidy.

Mustapha El BoudaniHe was born into a traditional Nomad family with many children and comes from the southern part of Morocco, in the village of M'Hamid El Ghizalne, which is at the gates of the Sahara sands, not far from the high dunes known as Erg Chigaga. He is a singer, guitarist and drummer. Plays castanets - carcass and dances. It presents traditional, authentic folklore and Saharan music played nowadays. The songs are sung in the Hassani language. The songs are about nature, people, animals, stars, love, God, the desert

Paweł Szpura- drummer, associated with the scene of the Warsaw club Pardon, To Tu. Member of several permanent music projects, incl. Hera, Cukunft, Wovoka. Cooperates with, among others with Mikołaj Trzaska and Raphael Rogiński.
